If there is no 4th player or its not Patterson I will say no.

Obviously he has to be getting anxious for an answer one way or the other. I don't care how many million dollars he makes, it can't be comfortable playing for a team that acts like you're no longer a part of it but won't move forward with trading you, especially after all he's done for this team and this city off the field.

Yeah, if the 4th player is Patterson I'd definitly pull the trigger. He could be a steal as a 4th player in a deal.

IMO - If patterson is the 4th player ther is no way we could turn that deal down! It would fill alot of hole on our team with player that have an upside (i.e. not L. Hernandez)

Thats why I this board you guys have a lot of baseball knowlege.I think Patterson is in the deal he is blocked with the Cubs specially if the would get Roberts.As for Thomas I don't think he can be traded yet because just was drafted last year.

IMO - This is the package the O's are looking for rather then what was offered - If it was offered Mcphail must not be too high on patterson & cedeno and would rather have some higher prospects

Yeah Im sure he wants it to be over one way or another so he can focus on getting ready for the season. No player would want to start with a new team just a few weeks before the season starts so the sooner the better.

But in no way have the Orioles acted like he is no longer a part of the team and its slow becasue Roberts is "Mr Oriole" trading him is hard. Its not that they aren't moving forward, as Ive said all off season if we trade him it needs to be for the perfect package (more so that just equal value) becasue the average fan is going to need to see something to not be PISSED.

It sounds like the Cubs FO is getting a little more serious with its offers if Veal is in and there may be a fourth player.

It would be nice to get Colvin or Ceda, but we've been led to believe that's unrealistic by most Cubs fans here. Of course, those same fans were screaming at us to stop hallucinating about a four for one .... We'll see.

Because they can win the division without Roberts, but they can't win the pennant or World Series without him.
